Bagpiper Hire for Events

Ask people the world over about their images of Scotland and they will almost always mention bagpipes and kilts amongst their first five items. So, if you’re looking to add a 'flavour of Scotland' to your forthcoming event, bagpipes and kilts are amongst the best starting ideas.

Our pipers can provide you with your precise requirements when it comes to giving your events that 'real' Scottish feeling.  We can help you with your product launches, conferences. open days, annual dinners or other promotional events.

We can even be involved in venue arrivals, especially if you’re looking to welcome visiting foreign guests, or potential business clients.  Just think how impressed they would be to be greeted at the airport by a Scottish piper in his full, splendid regalia. Other possibilities include having a piper or even a pipe band waiting to greet your dignitaries when they reach your business premises, or to ‘pipe them in’ to that special dinner.

Bagpipers are guaranteed way of drawing attention to your event - whatever its nature. By both their appearance and their sound, a Scottish piper is certain to make an impact on any television coverage you might have or in a newspaper and magazine press release. We'll also give prominence to your company logo, should you want, by displaying banners on bagpipe drones, stickers on drums - or perhaps wearing company tartan or special attire. The promotional possibilities are limited only by your imagination.

By virtue of our 30 years of experience and excellent connections in the Scottish entertainment arena, we are able to arrange complete evenings of Scottish entertainment for your guests at some of the most prestigious locations in Scotland. We've previously arranged corporate entertainment at the following venues - Edinburgh Castle, Gleneagles Hotel, Stirling Castle, Hampden Park, Celtic Park, Ibrox Stadium and Turnberry Hotel, to name but a few.

You may want to consider the following for your event:

  • Toast master to act as your master of ceremonies for the evening.
  • A solo piper – on either the full highland pipes, small pipes - or even both.
  • Music and dancing from a ceilidh band.
  • Folk group providing traditional Scottish background music.
  • Demonstrations of Highland dancing, with the option of joining in as well.
  • Full pipe band present - to really leave a memorable impression.
  • A string quartet, harpist or clarsach player.
  • Famous Scottish celebrity speakers, such as footballers, politicians or TV personalities.

For all of your corporate hospitality events or promotional activities, we at Scottish Pipers are able to provide a Scottish themed package that will meet all your needs and exceed all of your expectations.

Whether it's a party to celebrate a birthday or a retirement, an anniversary or an engagement, a graduation or a farewell party - there's no more spectacular and energetic a way of lighting up events than by introducing the great skirl of the bagpipes.

You can hire a full pipe band - if you so desire!

Imagine the look on the face of your 'special person' when a piper, or even a complete pipe band, greet them as they come in the room or turn up in the middle of the party. ‘Happy Birthday’, ‘Congratulations’ or ‘Leaving on a Jet Plane’ would never sound the same again!

The wonderful thing about Scottish Pipers is that, as well as being able to play the traditional hornpipes, reels and jigs and stirring marches - they can also entertain with any other style of music or sing-along song that you request.  The pipers love it when your guests start dancing along with them and they've even been known to play a short burst of ceilidh music. That will certainly draw your guests onto the dance floor.

If you want, we can provide Highland dancers to entertain your guess alongside the pipes.  Sometimes, it is even possible for our piper to play alongside your band, which can really generate an atmosphere that can only be described as ‘lively’. Clapping hands, stamping feet and , if you’re very lucky, tuneful harmonies from your guests. What more do you want? Throughout your event, our piper will encourage your guests to participate in every possible manner.

Your guests will have the opportunity to:

Have photos with the piper.
Have a personal demonstration as to how the pipes work.
They can try out the pipes for themselves!

The latter usually causes great hilarity as people discover that there’s much more to getting a real sound from the pipes than they previously thought!

Because we want to be able to offer you a truly professional, personalised package, we'll have discussions with you prior to the event to make sure that everything is as you want it to be.

Rest assured though, that if you choose to have Piping Services at your party, then it really will become a night to remember.
